10 Tips to Live the Life you want.

Here are my top tips for having the life you want and feeling good about yourself. I hope you find them useful!

1.    Take stock of your life right now. If you want to make any changes you need to know where you are starting.

2.    If you want to make changes you need to know where you want to go. Set yourself some goals. It’s fine if they are large but make sure you break them down into small steps so you don’t get overwhelmed.

3.    Our tendency is to focus on what we haven’t got. Make a list of all the good things in your life and whenever you are feeing down read this list and appreciate the great things you have.

4.    Stay in the present rather than dwelling on the past and creating a negative future.

5.    Don’t put things off. It’s all too easy to say I’ll do x when y is done. You never know what is round the corner so strike now. Waiting too long can lead to regrets.

6.    Focus on all your positive features like 'hands', 'eye's, 'legs', 'nails', or 'hair' and not the parts of you that you aren’t so fond of.

7.    Stop doing things because you feel you ought to, only do the things that give you pleasure.

8.    Be kind to yourself. It’s Ok to feel tired, be unsure, or even on occasions knocked off course. Accept that’s where you are, focus on what it is that you want and go back on your journey to achieve it.

9.    Do a good deed, giving often gives more pleasure than receiving.

10.    Be bold and take risks (within reason!) and try something new.
